TRAIL of Johnson County and the Iowa City-Johnson County Senior Center invite you to attend a live simulcast presentation of “A Conversation with Dr. Atul Gawande,” featuring the acclaimed surgeon, researcher and author of Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End, on Monday, September 25, 2017, from 4 – 5:30PM in Schwab Auditorium of the Coralville Public Library, 1401 5th Street. Dr. Gawande’s presentation, moderated by Robin Young, host of NPR’s Here & Now, will feature a discussion on aging, living life with purpose, and how we can transform the possibilities for the later chapters in everyone’s lives. Broadcast live from Boston, this event marks the 15th anniversary of Beacon Hill Village and the founding of the Village to Village Network, a nationwide consortium of aging-in-place organizations that includes TRAIL of Johnson County. A brief reception with refreshments will be held following the televised presentation. This is a free event but registration is encouraged.
