In 2017, the UI Main Library Special Collections received a large collection (about 100 boxes) of Tom Brokaw’s materials from various aspects of his life and career. These materials are now available in the library and on display starting September 7 in the gallery on the main floor.

Please join us in Special Collections on the 3rd floor of the UI Main Library at 2:30 pm. After some orientation to Special Collections and introduction to what is available, we will be guided through the exhibit on the first floor which is called “Tom Brokaw and 20 Years of Describing the Greatest Generation”.

Group members may stay and browse on their own after we have finished with our guide.

Metered parking is available in a lot south of the Main Library. Elevators are available to access the third floor. The capacity of this group is limited to 15 members, but a second tour may be added if there is interest.
