What is this?
Talking about End of Life
Facilitator: Craig Mosher
Talking about death is not easy for most of us. Avoiding these conversations can make understanding and coping with death when it does occur more difficult. Given the fact that it is the only thing each and every one of us is guaranteed, the aim of this program is to help us get more comfortable discussing death and dying and to think about the kind of death we might like. This program will start by viewing and discussing the PBS program featuring Atul Gawande talking about his book
Being Mortal
. Once each month the group will select a book to read and discuss on end-of-life issues. Everyone is welcome to join in on the conversation. Come once or as often as you like; the program will be held on May 21, June 18, July 16, and August 20. This program is being offered in partnership with Iowa City Senior Center.
The Iowa City Senior Center is fully accessible and parking is available in the adjacent Tower Place Parking Ramp.
