The Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department invites you to attend their 2024 Disability Health and Safety Expo.
This free event will feature local organizations that offer services that benefit individuals with disabilities, with the goal of teaching skills and techniques to promote safety both at home and in the community. Demonstrations on a variety of topics will be offered, including water safety, sexual education, and self-defense.
The Expo also will showcase resources from the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department, the Iowa City Police Department, Center for Disabilities and Development, the University of Iowa, and so much more.
