TRAIL Virtual Event Pick: "Acting Out While Staying In" (April 9-11)
Attendees pay for their own charges
Since TRAIL is unable to host our usual in-person member events at the present time, we hope these recommendations will help you select from among a wealth of online opportunities to learn, grow, and combat social isolation. Enjoy!
TRAIL members and friends who attended our Janet Schlapkohl performance at the Coralville Public Library in 2019 (can it have been that long?) won’t want to miss this virtual event. Laugh from the safety and comfort of your own home as Coralville’s City Circle Theatre Company presents “Acting Out While Staying In,” three short plays by local talents Christopher Okiishi, Brian Tanner, and co-writers Janet Schlapkohl and Paul David Story. All share one unifying theme – the living room:
- “Scandinavian Death Cleaning” by Christopher Okiishi
- “Working For a Laugh” by Paul Story and Janet Schlapkohl
- “And Quarantine Makes Three” by Brian Tanner
Relax, pour yourself a drink, and enjoy yourself as City Circle shares their living room stage with you.
The full performance will be available for streaming from 4 PM on Friday, April 9, through 11:59 PM on Sunday, April 11. Tickets are just $15 for patrons age 55+. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/45995
