Come along and test your knowledge of people and places in Iowa history and culture! Join us for an Iowa History Trivia Night hosted by Jess Rundlett, Special Projects and Outreach Coordinator at the State Historical Museum, where her pre-pandemic efforts were focused on visiting schools to educate children through the mobile museum, History on the Move: Iowa History 101. This event is co-sponsored by the Iowa City-Johnson County Senior Center.
Jess is a fifth-generation Iowan and a native of Vinton. She describes herself as an Iowa State Fair aficionado, competitive cyclist, avid baker, and Iowa enthusiast. In 2015 and 2018, she even won the Van & Bonnie All Iowa Trivia Bee on WHO Radio.
On December 28, 2021, Iowa will mark a major milestone: 175 years of statehood. So throughout 2021, the State Historical Society of Iowa invites Iowans of all ages to learn more about the people and places that have shaped our state. This Iowa Trivia program is one of many programs being offered as part of the commemoration of Iowa's 175th Anniversary of statehood. Please register in advance and you will be sent the Zoom link prior to the event.
