Join Claire Lombardo (17MFA), a critically acclaimed UI Writers’ Workshop alumna, for a virtual reading of her New York Times bestselling debut novel, The Most Fun We Ever Had.

Lombardo has been nominated for several literary prizes, including the prestigious Women’s Prize for Fiction. HBO is adapting her novel into a television series with Amy Adams and Laura Dern as executive producers.

Lombardo will read a passage from her novel, discuss her time in the Writers’ Workshop, and answer questions. Streaming audience members will recognize familiar landmarks as about one-third of the novel takes place in Iowa City.
