Cinema Salon is a monthly program sponsored by the Iowa City Senior Center that invites Center members and other movie lovers to view a discounted screening of a new-release film at FilmScene, followed by a 30-minute discussion led by Donna Janosik.
Donna earned a BA in communications with an emphasis in film and broadcasting from the University of Iowa. She worked on productions in New York and Los Angeles as a writer, director, and producer, then earned an MA in psychology. She has kept a private practice and taught clinical psychology at North Park University in Chicago. Donna is a huge film buff and looks forward to great discussions.
Screenings are open to the public and seating is first come, first served. Films are announced about two weeks in advance. Register with ICSC by 5 PM the day before each screening. Fee: $6, low-income discount not available; pay at the FilmScene box office.
