Marigolds and Memories: A Día de Los Muertos Celebration
About this event
The Iowa City Senior Center invites the community to Marigolds and Memories, a special Day of the Dead celebration where guests can view a screening of the 2017 Disney film “Coco” and enjoy traditional Mexican pastries from Mammitas Coffee.
This event is free and open to all, and is designed to educate about Hispanic culture and provide a space for celebration of this cultural holiday.
Volunteers from the University of Iowa’s League of United Latin American Citizens chapter will be on hand to serve traditional pastries and celebrate Hispanic culture. Join us and bring a friend!
