The Iowa City Foreign Relations Council, the Better Conversations Program, and BridgeIowa, a University of Iowa student organization, invite you to join them for an intergenerational community dialogue about how we are making sense of the post-election moment.
Elections can bring different hopes, concerns, emotions, and uncertainties. This conversation offers a chance to slow down, share experiences, and listen across both generational and political differences.
The goal is not to debate candidates, parties, or policies, or to persuade others to agree with us. Instead, participants will reflect on what this moment feels like, what experiences shape their perspectives, what they hope for the future, and what different generations might learn from one another. Together, we will consider how neighbors and community members can stay connected and have better conversations across political differences.
You do not need to agree with anyone else in the room. Your perspective and experiences are welcome.
Refreshments will be served, so please RSVP to reserve your spot.
