Iowa City’s Donation Drive-Thru is an annual event hosted by the City of Iowa City in collaboration with several non-profit partners to offer donation and recycling options for a variety of materials during the peak of lease turnover season.
This event keeps tons of usable materials out of the landfill while providing much needed donations to non-profit partners.
This year’s partner organizations include:
- Antelope Lending Library (books, boardgames, puzzles, and child car seats)
- Crowded Closet (clothing, shoes, purses, accessories, and household linens)
- Habitat for Humanity ReStore (furniture, tools, dishware, lamps, wall art, and microwaves)
- Houses into Homes (mattresses, furniture, lamps, and microwaves)
- Table to Table (food and toiletry/personal care items)
Simply pull up to the lower level of the Chauncey Swan Parking Ramp (enter from the Washington Street ramp entrance) and volunteers will do the unloading for you.
