Now in its fourth year, Iowa City Poetry Alfresco is back for an evening of free, open-air progressive readings.
This event will take place outdoors at various private residences, businesses, and parks in the Northside Neighborhood (the area bounded by East Market, North Linn, Brown, and North Governor). These in-person, 20-minute readings will take place every half hour from 5 to 8 PM. The readings will be miked to allow all attendees to enjoy.
Poetry Alfresco will culminate with a final reading at Happy Hollow Park (800 Brown St.), followed by an open-air after-party with food and drink, offering a space where participants can reflect, connect, and celebrate. Everyone is welcome!
