Iowa Bibliophiles: Birds of a Feather

About this event

Iowa Bibliophiles is spreading its wings this semester to celebrate the distinctive collections across the UI Libraries. Let your imagination take flight as you explore the UI Libraries’ rare and unique material – all featuring birds! Join Libraries staff for a close-up look at collection highlights, talk with curators and conservators, and try hands-on activities.

Special Collections and Archives, Conservation and Collections Care, Main Library Gallery, Rita Benton Music Library, Art Library, and the John Martin Rare Book room are flocking together to showcase remarkable bird-themed material that Hawkeyes can celebrate. This event is free and open to the public. Find parking information on the Libraries website. Light refreshments will be provided.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Elizabeth Riordan in advance at 319-384-2802.
