Family Folk Machine Fall Concert: "Dreaming Iowa"
About this event
“Dreaming Iowa” is a year-long project by Family Folk Machine, exploring Iowa’s progressive and multicultural past and hopes for the future.
Their fall concert features traditional songs from Iowa’s German, Mexican, and Czech immigrants, along with traditional and newer American folk songs and a few original songs celebrating Iowa heroes and recounting one family’s journey to Iowa from war-torn Ukraine.
With special guest artists Dave Moore and Eugenio Solis! All are welcome to this free event.
The Family Folk Machine is a non-profit, intergenerational, non-auditioned choir that welcomes kids and adults of all ages and backgrounds to sing together with a band. They seek to build community through singing songs with our neighbors, to explore American history and culture through song, to foster individual musical growth, and to pursue excellence as an ensemble.
