About this event
The October meeting of the Iowa City Genealogical Society will feature a video presentation by Crista Cowan, Corporate Genealogist at Ancestry.
Christa will be covering ways to spring clean your family tree, including the use standardized names, dates, and places. With components already available in free versions of Ancestry or with the new Pro Tools that require a subscription, you can search for duplicate individuals or floaters in your tree Ancestry. Do you have logic errors such as a woman who died before the birthdate of the last child? Did you know you can apply tags to people in your tree to guide your research?
The meeting of the Iowa City Genealogy Society will be seen via Zoom, beginning at 9:30 AM. Non-members wishing to join the presentation must send a request to icgsnews@gmail.com for permission to attend.
