About this event
Western Home Communities invites you to preview Gathering Place, Iowa City’s newest senior living campus for adults 55+.
This open house–style event will showcase the vision for this new community just minutes from Kinnick Stadium and the University of Iowa. Attendees will get a first look at architectural renderings, campus plans, and lifestyle features.

Phase 1 construction begins this fall:
- Timberwood Homes & Villas: 29 freestanding homes and 8 villas
- The Lodge: 16 condominiums, community spaces, guest suites, golf simulator, offices & restaurant dining
- The Ridge: 16 condominiums plus a pool, fitness center, therapy clinic & salon
- The Grove: 24+ active living condominiums designed for independent living in a connected community
- Future phases will expand to include Assisted Living, Memory Care, and more Active Living Townhomes.
