About this event

The UI Center for Advancement invites University of Iowa alumni and friends to experience the fall raptor migration at Macbride Nature Recreation Area!
Enjoy a hawk watch guided by Iowa Raptor Project staff and interact with raptors up close. Additionally, Tiffany Adrain from the UI Paleontology Repository will share a display of Lake Macbride fossils and help identify any fossils you may find that day.
Note: There are two 2-hour sessions being offered today, from 9-11 AM and from 12-2 PM. Both sessions will feature the same programming.
This event will be held outdoors and may involve walking. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a camping chair or blanket for a relaxed viewing experience. Binoculars will be available, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Come solo, bring a friend, or bring your family; all are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Katie Kriegel in advance at katie.kriegel@foriowa.org.
