About this event
August is National Dog Month, and what better way to celebrate our four-legged friends than to share our favorite books about or starring dogs.
From nonfiction true dog tales or fiction from any and all genres, there are dog stories for all ages. The Iowa City Public Library staff invite you to gather a few of your favorites and join them for a lively discussion.
Not a traditional book group, Let's Talk Books is a series of casual online conversations about books. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month on Zoom to talk about favorite books in a specific genre or on a theme that changes each time. Participants each bring a few titles to share, and by the end of the discussion everyone has a few new titles on their to-be-read lists.
Register in advance and you'll receive a confirmation email with the Zoom login details. You'll also get a reminder email a few days before the event. Everyone is welcome!
