Let's Talk Books: Foodie Fiction

About this event

The Iowa City Public Library staff invite you to join the latest session of their monthly Let’s Talk Books discussion. Today’s topic is Foodie Fiction; that is, books in any fiction genre where food or food-related activities or occupations play a central part in the story.

This can include books with a character who is a chef, wait staff, restaurant owner, amateur baker, or just someone who loves food. These can also be books where a lot of activity takes place in bakeries, restaurants, or someone’s kitchen.

Goodreads has a fun list of Foodie Fiction here: https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/foodie-fiction

Not a traditional book group, Let's Talk Books is a series of casual online conversations about books. They meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month on Zoom to talk about favorite books in a specific genre or on a theme that changes each time. Participants brings a few titles to share, and by the end of the discussion, everyone has a few new titles on their to-be-read lists.

Register in advance and you'll receive a confirmation email with the Zoom login details. You'll also get a reminder email a few days before the event. Everyone is welcome!
