About this event

The State Historical Society of Iowa invites you to join presenter Sara Huyser of Northwestern College as she discusses bootlegging during the Prohibition Era in the early 19th century and how it led to the exciting and dramatic murder trial of Ira “Hard Boiled” Pavey in Sioux County in 1921.
The Iowa History 101 webinars share Iowa stories and the history of the state through a cultural history lens on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Registration is required for each event and to receive a link to the recorded program.
