SONG*LINES: Song Circle with Lyndsey Scott
About this event

The UI Stanley Museum of Art invites the community to participate in an uplifting singing circle in the museum lobby.
The Stanley Museum of Art is the fifth stop of the SONG*LINES Project, a series of local song circles hosted by Grant Wood Fellow Lyndsey Scott to nourish the thriving of local community-building organizations and cross-pollinate new connections. Simple songs will be taught on the spot and refreshments will be provided. All voices are welcome.
Lyndsey Scott is a multimedia artist, songleader, songwriter, and ritualist committed to exploring community singing as a technology of belonging and a strategy for mutual liberation. Through the SONGLINES Project, she hopes to " nourish the thriving of local community-building organizations and to cross-pollinate new connections by weaving these sites of aliveness together with a series of song circles that culminates in a Big Sing."
Register online or by calling the museum at 319-335-1727.
This event is free and open to the public.
