About this event
Carter Johnson will be our guide for this hike of the Shimek Ravine – 13 acres of oak-hickory forest in a hilly area just west of Shimek School. The property was purchased by nearby residents to protect it from development and donated to the Bur Oak Land Trust in 1992. This is a hilly trek so the terrain may be a challenge for some. Remember to wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Feel free to invite a non-member friend to join us as a registered guest.
