Based on decades of observing, thinking, and writing about Iowa's natural history and transformed ecology, human-intensified natural disasters, local author and ecologist Connie Mutel will summarize the complex evolution of Iowa's environmental challenges. She will call attention to current initiatives that address key problem areas, and offer guidelines for communicating environmental concerns to policy makers and fellow Iowans.
This program is presented by the League of Women Voters of Johnson County Education Committee, the Iowa City Public Library, TRAIL, and the Iowa City Press-Citizen.
