Stanley Sage is UI Stanley Museum of Art program with older adults in mind. Each program invites a local older adult to tell their art story and connect it to the Stanley collection.

Today’s featured guest is fiber artist and University of Iowa graduate (75BA Art Education, 80MA Textile Design) Jan Friedman. Of her work, Jan says:

“I weave tapestries and fiber collages with a wide variety of materials. My pieces draw their inspiration from sky, water, land, and vegetation. In my current work, I am concentrating on what we stand to lose because of climate change and the dire necessity of countering this threat.”

The program will take place in the museum's lobby with pastries and beverages provided by Barbara and Richard Csomay Center for Gerontological Excellence

Paid, accessible parking is available in the Stanley Art Ramp below the museum. The entrance is at the rear of the building off Museum Drive (formerly Front Street). Visitors can access the museum directly via the elevator lobby in the center.
